Follow Me- “We are Disciples and We Make Disciples”

Follow Me- “We are Disciples and We Make Disciples”

I hope I am not the only person that has been told to “act your age!” Yet, there have been times when that phrase was necessarily applied because I was acting or speaking in a manner that was not very becoming. I believe that this phrase is applicable at times, not just in our ordinary lives, but can also be applied spiritually. Here is what I mean: As we come to faith in Christ and become a child of God, certain changes are to mark our lives. Scripture is very clear that God calls us to be disciples, but the trouble is that we often fail to ‘act our age’, or act in accordance with what we are and Whose we are.

We will be looking deeper into this topic this week in a sermon titled “We are Disciples and We Make Disciples” based upon the text of Matthew 28:19-20. These two verses hold monumental meaning for those who are Christians, and by God’s grace, we will seek to apply this to our own lives as individuals and as a congregation.
