Remember

Remember

It is not uncommon for my desk at home or at church to be littered with any number of yellow stickie notes containing names, words, or numbers as a reminder of things to do or folks to call. Nor is it uncommon for me to send emails to myself of the same, just so I also have a ready reminder throughout the day of tasks needing attention. Why do I do this? Because if I don’t, I forget! Maybe it’s just growing old, but I have found if I don’t write it down and have a reminder, it likely will be forgotten!

Although we often laugh at our, or another’s, forgetfulness, the reality is that forgetfulness can be a big problem. And sadly, a problem that we all exhibit at times. Our text this week will speak to this, and in reading Matthew 16:5-12 we will learn of an occasion of the disciples’ forgetfulness, and applying this to our lives, we will learn of how to overcome this malady and what happens when we do.
