Over the course of any given year all of us likely receive (or send) several “Save the Date” postcards. These cards tell us of an important celebration coming up in which our attendance is desired and appreciated. Maybe it is a wedding, an anniversary, graduation, or a 1st birthday, but all of these events are significant and important. This week’s text from Luke 14:16-24 tells of such an event, a dinner but not just any dinner. The invitation is essentially to salvation, and all are invited! This week we will look at the eternal importance of this dinner invitation and how we are to respond.
