All of us live and exist in situations dictated by “things you should know.” If you are a pastor, you should know that Sunday mornings are not a morning for sleeping in; if you are a teacher, you should love children and possess incredible patience; If you are a hunter, you should know how to clean game and your rifle; if if you consider yourself a pretty good cook, you should know how to marinade a steak; if you are a worship director, you should be able to sing; if you are married, you should know the incredible value of 6 words, ‘I love you’ and “I am sorry’; and of course, if you are a Vikings fan, you should know the meaning of disappointment!
You get the picture…life is full of things you should know! Paul, in 1 Corinthians 6, details the same for us in a spiritual manner, speaking to three truths that we should know. And by God’s grace, we will come to know them and have them applied in our lives by the Holy Spirit.
