Outdoor Church Spruce-Up

This year we have two parts to our annual Outdoor Church Spruce-Up

Please see the directions below for each of the two parts separately. Please feel free to choose multiple zones or multiple ‘chores’ if you want.
We are wanting to have all zones cleaned before May 31st

Gardening/Garbage

Exterior Windows

As a family unit, small group Bible study, or group of friends, please consider Adopting-A-Zone of the landscaping around our beautiful church property to clean up, while practicing safe social distancing precautions (if you’re doing this with others not in your immediate family). We’ve created various zone sizes for various family (or group) sizes to choose how much ground they are wanting to cover. Please notify us which zone(s) you’d like to be responsible for cleaning up before May 31st. Please send us your top three zones in your order of choice in case your number one or two choice is already spoken for.

At this point in the year we won’t be cutting back any living growth of plants, bushes, flowers, trees, shrubs, etc; we will simply be removing last year’s dead growth from around the ground and picking up all garbage from the zone. Also, if this affects your zone, do remove as many pine cones and needles as possible.

Bring your own tools, clippers, rakes, hand shovels for weeds, yard waste bags, garbage bags. You can throw garbage bags in the dumpsters on the south end of green zone 5, but please take your yard waste with you to dispose of on your own.

The Nine Zones that are available for gardening adoption are:

1. Northwest Yellow

2. North Pink

3. Northeast Blue – Some years there is a duck nest in the nook directly on the east side of the building, so be aware not to startle yourself, or mama duck if she’s on a nest.

4. East-South Light Orange – Including the 3 parking lot islands.

5. Southeast Green – Including the 1 parking lot island.

6. Southwest Purple

7. West Red

8. East Property Line Orange – Should just be garbage pick-up from the hedges. No flowers or plants with year-old dead growth to cut out.

9. South Property Line Turquoise – Including the water drainage rocks in the Southeast corner of the parking lot. Typically lots of garbage in the rock area.  – Should just be garbage pick-up from the hedges. No flowers or plants with year-old dead growth to cut out.

Again, as a family unit, small group Bible study, or group of friends, please consider Adopting-A-Zone of the exterior windows for cleaning, while practicing safe social distancing precautions (if you’re doing this with others not in your immediate family). We’ve created various zone sizes for various family (or group) sizes to choose how many windows they want to clean. Please notify us which zone of windows you’d like to be responsible for cleaning before May 31st. Please send us your top three zones in your order of choice in case your number one or two choice is already spoken for.

Bring your own Windex, or cleaning solution of choice, plus newspapers or towels or whatever you use, plus a ladder if your zone requires one.
