While We Wait

While We Wait

I greatly dislike waiting, and standing in line for something drives me crazy! I was reminded of this last week in Bismarck when our family’s dining decision was Wendy’s drive thru, a decision which dad unilaterally adjusted when he saw the drive-up line some 9 cars deep; truth be told, the time it took me to drive around looking for a shorter line somewhere else likely exceeded that of what it would have been to just stay at Wendy’s! But you get the picture—for the most part, I don’t wait well.

Our text today of Titus 2:11-15 speaks of waiting for it addresses both the first advent of our Lord (which we celebrate in Christmas) and His second, which we still await. The question that I desire to raise this week is simple: What do we do while we wait? These verses will provide powerful insights for us as we live presently in the “in between.”
