STOP!!! I know what you are thinking…”this will be a good Sunday to skip because pastor is going to talk about money!” But before you carry out this ‘nefarious’ plan please consider a biblical reality: Scripture speaks to money and wealth in some 2350 verses, which means that twice as many verses are devoted to this topic than faith and prayer combined, and I doubt if you would consider skipping out if pastor was talking on either of those topics!
With six succinct and powerfully descriptive verses, James paints a picture that should cause us pause when we consider our wealth. This Sunday we will look at these verses and how they aptly describe “rotten riches” and then turn our attention to gospel principles that will assist us in being godly stewards of what the Lord has entrusted to our care, whether it be little or much.
Lord willing, I promise, your checkbook is not mandatory!!
Riches: Rotten or Redeemed?
