Making a Scene

Making a Scene

I am confident that at some point in our lives, we have either ‘made a scene’ or watched one unfold…you know, the 3-year-old in a grocery store getting dragged by mom crying at the top of his lungs because she would not buy that box of Captain Crunch. Or the gathering of a large group on the sidewalk or street when a favorite actor or actress is expected to arrive in style, or when the “headliner” finally comes to the stage, accompanied by either the dimming or flashing of lights and a well-known entry song.

In all of these possible examples, a scene is made, for better or for worse! Our text this week, John 12:12-19,  concerns Jesus making a scene, and this one certainly for the better as it continues His determined march to Jerusalem and Calvary. In our message, we will look at this scene and discover what aspects of it must hold our attention.
