All of us have experienced the angst of losing something. Perhaps it is a wallet, an iPhone, or a set of car keys, and generally, our ensuing effort at finding such an item correlates directly with its value to us, as does our relief or jubilance in its finding. The 15th chapter of Luke has been described by at least one bible commentator as the “golden center” of Luke’s gospel in that it reveals the wonderful love the Savior Shepherd holds for the lost or straying. Indeed, this chapter is great news for all of us, and by God’s grace and the Holy Spirit’s guidance, we will discover the greatness of this chapter as applied to our own lives. This week we consider a message titled “Lost and Found” based upon Luke 15:1-10.
