One truth in life that no one escapes suffering, it is part of the human condition. Suffering has and always will be a part of life and since the beginning, human beings have used religion and philosophy to explain the origins of suffering and how to live with it. This week we will be looking at what Scripture tells us about suffering as we look at Psalm 40:1-4. What we see in these verses is the truth of a life in submission to God. The Bible does not shy away from the idea of suffering, and it does not ever attempt to have you seek the truth or the solution for yourself. The hope that we have in life is that God is with us in the suffering; He is the one who delivers us, He is the one who puts the praise in our mouth and a life devoted in submission to God offers blessing, hope, and peace.
