We live in troubling and divisive times, and in the midst of such times it is easy for anxiousness and worry to replace confidence and peace. As much as we want to think that all of this is unique with us, it is not. In fact, we have so many models from the Scriptures of men and women who dealt with similar difficult and troubling days. One such individual is Gideon, and in our sermon this week we will look at how Gideon came to experience both peace and confidence in times that were certainly not peaceful nor were the days ones that instilled confidence. The question for Gideon, and for us, is this–“How do you experience peace and confidence in troubling times?”
And by God’s grace, we will discover how this is accomplished through our study of Judges 6:11-24.
