In all of life’s comings and goings there is the reality that as certain things or events occur there are correspondingly certain and particular results. For example, if you are a man with a wife or girlfriend and forgot that it was Valentine’s Day, the result is likely that you might still be in the “doghouse” come Sunday! Or if a child stops by Pastor Flaa’s office, most likely they will first jump on my large stuffed tiger and then grab some treats from the ‘candy basket’. Point being, that certain results are predictable in certain situations.
As you read Acts 19 to prepare for this message, be thinking on this concept, especially as it applies to the Word of God and the Gospel. Acts 19 delivers to us at least three “results” of what happens when God’s word prevails (v. 20) and we will explore these results and discover what they mean for us.
