I have learned from both positive and negative experiences in my life that certain actions, habits, and decisions are generally accompanied by certain results. For example, if you desire to lose weight, sitting in front of the T.V. binge watching “The Office” and eating Tostito chips will likely not bring the result desired. Or if you opt to go to the midnight opening of the latest Marvel movie and then hang out with friends until 4 a.m., it is likely you will not do well on that first period Biology exam; or, if I decide to grow a beard for the winter it will definitely result in me looking even older, and most significantly, no kisses from my bride! (and now you know why I remain clean-shaven!)
My point is that in nearly every decision we make or action we take, there is an identifiable result. Our text this for this message illustrates this truth, and as we unpack Acts 5:12-42 we will learn about and be encouraged in the results of standing on God’s side.
