Life is full of unknowns, but it is also full of certainty. I don’t know who will win the Super Bowl, but you can be certain I will be cheering for the Chiefs; I don’t know when Gloria and I will indulge in ice cream again, but you can be certain it will be Cold Stone; and, I don’t know when the next thing will break in our house, but you can be certain that I can’t fix it!
As we launch this week into our new series, “Real Faith—Real Life” we will be looking at the text of James 1:1-18 with a sermon titled “Certainty.” In this passage James prepares believers for three certainties: trial, temptation, and the trustworthiness of God. And by God’s grace, we will discover how these certainties impact real faith in real life.
