You have likely heard the statement, often offered as a subtle critique, of someone being “so heavenly minded that they are of no earthly good.” After spending an entire chapter on the glory of the resurrection and the sure hope of our own glorious resurrection, Paul takes opportunity in closing out his letter to the church of Corinth to remind us of the practical implications of the Gospel, and how this Good News is to motivate us not only for ‘tomorrow’ (eternity), but for today. In this text Paul addresses three primary subjects, money, opportunity, and people, and by God’s grace we will learn of how this is to impact our lives day to day.
