  • This event has passed.

Good Morning Girls is a monthly opportunity for women of all ages to come together and be encouraged and grow in their faith walk. We meet on the 3rd Saturday of every month from 9:00-10:30am. There is a catered breakfast, a featured speaker brings a short message, and we have a time for discussion.

November’s speaker is Betsy Nelson.
“This year, looking at the Thanksgiving holiday, I have so much to be grateful for; Family and friends, a blessed career, health and vitality, a thriving church, and most of all my relationship with Jesus Christ, my savior and Lord. Last Thanksgiving was the most painful, and truly scary holiday I have ever celebrated, alone, in a hospital room. After a seemingly uncomplicated surgical procedure, I spent 8 days in the hospital, attempting to recover from an aggravation created by my Crohn’s disease. It was the loneliest time of my life, being hospitalized with Covid 19 restrictions in place and only one visitor per day. Facing a second surgery, and fighting between two doctors who had differing ideas on my treatment, I cried out to the Lord and to the doctors so I could be released on Thanksgiving Day to spend with my children. I have never been so grateful to make mashed potatoes and wash dishes. Praise the Lord for my recovery and ability to share with those who may be crying out for hope and healing.

Some of you may know me as Pastor Justin’s wife, or maybe you know me as Isaiah’s or David’s mom. Some of you may also know me as the Pastor’s wife we have been praying over for the last year and a half. I look forward to sharing with you at Good Morning Girls, on Saturday, November 20th. Over the years of my life, I have enjoyed many Thanksgiving tables, experienced with unlikely guests and those the Lord placed in my life to challenge my faith. As part of my testimony, I have prepared a message titled “Come to the Table”. We will take a closer look at those who gather at our table and at the table Jesus set for His disciples including Judas, the betrayer and Peter, the rock. May the Lord prepare your hearts to hear that the ultimate display of thanksgiving should be in reverence to God for all of His blessings to mankind through His son Jesus Christ.”
